FAQ
What are in-network providers?
While working with an in-network provider/doctor, most of your care fees will be covered by your insurance provider, usually including:
- Co-insurance
- Out-of-pocket maximum
- Deductible
- Co-pay
What are co-pays and how do they work?
What is a deductible and how does it work?
A deductible refers to the fixed amount that you are required to pay before your insurance benefits start covering your healthcare costs. After the deductible has been met, you normally pay what is called “coinsurance”, which is a percentage of the total medical service cost for services covered by your insurance plan. At this stage, you would continue paying coinsurance until the annual out of pocket max is met.
How much will my appointment at Excelsior Healthcare cost me?
The cost you’ll owe will be based on your insurance plan and the type of medical service you require. For more details, touch base with your carrier to understand how you will be covered.
Is my annual physical free?
Typically, yes. However, if you have already had your annual wellness exam this year, confirm with your insurance carrier before scheduling an appointment – some insurance plans only cover one physical per year.
What is Excelsior Healthcare’s refund policy?
If you’re owed a refund, the full owed amount will be returned to your original credit card used for payment.
How do I pay my bill?
In-person on your appointment date at our office.
